Detail: Food, drink, music, theatre from all around the world Located in an historic old home on Oak Street where Temple Bodley cherished letters of the George Rogers Clark family, where from the second floor the Stites family watched boats ply Oak Street in 1937, "The Rud" preserves old brick, art glass, woodwork, and traditional Kentucky recipes blended with new music, theatre, warmth and welcome. We want to be your "great good place"--the French cafe, the German beergarden, the hangout of your youth--where you will be comforted and refreshed in body and spirit. We offer fresh wholegrain breads, unique soups, Kentucky cuisine (with our famous burgoo, country ham crepes, soupbeans and cornbread, Boonesborough snappy cheese, Hickory jalapeno Bucketown blackberry dressing) vegetarian dinners, Bloody Mary, sangria, imported beers... We have live music and often present classic and avant garde theatre. Call 502-636-1311(after 6:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays) for music and theatre information and reservations.
